Business plans

Turn your ideas into a stronger business

Guided sections that tell you what each one is actually asking. Crop budgets and projections worked out from your own figures, beside the words, so the two cannot quietly disagree.

What you get

Questions, not blank boxes

Every section comes with what it is really asking. “Marketing strategy” is where most plans stall; “who buys from you now, and how did they find you” is answerable. One section to a page, and you say when it is finished — nothing here decides that from a word count.

A budget for each crop

What a pound, a bushel or a share costs you to grow, and what is left after you sell it. Your units, your prices, your costs — there are no benchmark yields anywhere in this, because what your ground does is not something anyone else can tell you.

Projections that check themselves

Startup costs, funding, the cash-flow forecast and break-even — worked out from your own figures in whole cents, with a plain warning when something does not add up. The warnings print with the plan rather than being hidden from the reader.

Something you can hand over

The whole plan as a document: contents, every section, the crop budgets, the projection, your stated assumptions, and a plain note that the figures are yours and unaudited. Print it, save it as a PDF, or share a read-only link that expires.

Where to start

A spiral notebook headed "Business Plan Templates", with a checklist of plan types written below it and a mug of coffee beside it.

Ready-to-use templates

Start from the shape of plan that fits what you are doing, and change it as you go.

  • Startup, expansion, diversification
  • Value-added and direct-to-consumer
  • A fuller set for a lender
  • Every section says what it wants
Two growers in straw hats standing together in a field of young crops, talking, with the sun low behind them.

Worked examples

What a good answer to the hard sections sounds like. Written by us as examples — these are not real farms.

  • Pricing, risk, cash flow, projections
  • Deliberately no invented figures
  • A note on why each answer works
  • Read them, then write your own

Share it with an advisor

When it is ready, send a read-only link to someone who knows the ground before it goes to the bank.

  • Read-only, and only this plan
  • Expires after thirty days
  • Revoke it at any time
  • Pin a version before you submit

What it is not

Harvest Hub Walton is not your accountant, and a plan written here is not reviewed or endorsed by anyone. The arithmetic is checked; the assumptions behind it are yours, and a lender will ask about them. Nothing here supplies a yield, a price or a benchmark to fill a gap with — where a figure is missing, it stays missing until you put yours in.
